TAFE Queensland’s Academy of Sport is a post-secondary school athlete development program. The Academy promotes excellence by equipping up and coming Queensland athletes with the right tools to pursue success in and outside the sporting arena.
TAFE Queensland facilitates the Academy program in partnership with peak sporting organisations across different parts of Queensland. Currently, the Academy is offering programs across a number of sports in Cairns and Townsville.

Degrees of Fitness at Mooloolaba campus is a fully-equipped gymnasium open to TAFE Queensland students, staff, and the wider community. Fitness students can gain first-hand experience working with real clients under the supervision of our experienced staff in this fresh and modern facility.
Degrees of Fitness is our fully-equipped, open to the public gym located at our Hervey Bay campus. The gym allows our fitness students to gain first-hand experience providing leadership and guidance to paying clients. Fully qualified and experienced fitness trainers are on duty to supervise the students who plan, develop, conduct and evaluate real training programs to gym members.
Students completing a vocational placement as a part of their course will need to adhere to their placement provider’s workplace policies and conditions of employment.
