Thursday Island is the main island in the Torres Strait region located 40 kilometres off the northern coast of the Cape York Peninsula. The island's community is a diverse mix of cultures including Torres Strait Islander and Papua New Guinean, and has a number of facilities including a gym, public library, retail and commercial stores, sports complex, and sporting fields.

Our Thursday Island campus offers a range of study areas to the local community including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander primary health care, accounting, early childhood education and care, first aid, leadership and management, and training and assessment.

Taxi services are available through Silver Leaf Taxi Service, however there is no public transport available to the Thursday Island campus.


If you live nearby, cycling could be another cost effective option to get to class.


We have plenty of free on-site parking available for students at our Thursday Island campus.
