The Shire of Burdekin is located between Townsville and Bowen and is home to 18,000 residents spread throughout 19 towns and localities. Our Burdekin campus is located in the Shire's second largest town of Home Hill. Residents enjoy the laid-back atmosphere of the Shire enjoying the regions great cafes and restaurants, speciality stores, shady parks, and excellent public amenities.

Our Burdekin campus offers courses designed to meet the needs to the local community. Study areas include early childhood education and care, first aid, hairdressing, and engineering courses specialising in mechanical trades, fitting and turning, boilermaking, and metal fabrication.

Taxi services are available through Burdekin Taxi Service, however there is no public transport available to the Burdekin campus.


If you live nearby, cycling could be another cost effective option to get to class.
