Skills Boost is a $4 million State Government initiative that provides a second training subsidy for eligible individuals who want to update their skills to go further in their current job or pursue a different career.

How does it work?

Eligible applicants who already hold a vocational education and training (VET) qualification can access a training subsidy to upskill in identified priority courses for their region. The subsidy will help students on their employment pathway, ensuring they can participate in the future workforce without the cost of full-fee training.

As of 6th July 2021, Skills Boost funding has ceased and is no longer available to students.  For more information on other funding options, please visit our subisidies page
